Authentic, no bullshit, non-dogmatic and respect for the individual and the surroundings are some of the core values Ronald lives by. Ronald has always been interested in both body and mind. As a teenager and in his early twenties he practiced Judo, Taekwondo and Kempo. His yoga journey started about 14 years ago. Lately he’s been exploring other forms of movement as well.
Ronald teaches vinyasa/flow Yoga but he also has a passion for Yoga and Free Flow Movement based on the Budokon system. He’s a certified Vinyasa Yoga teacher, a Budokon Yoga teacher and he’ll be a certified Budokon Mobility for Movers Teacher at the time of the Yogaland festival. Budokon is a system where yoga, martial arts and calisthenics and animal locomotion are combined. His teachings are also influenced by what he learned during the Svastha Yoga Therapy trainings, during a couple of Anatomy Trains trainings and during an Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher Training he completed.
Together with his buddy Ed Caffin he owns and runs Rumah Yog, a studio for yoga, movement and meditation in Amsterdam.
